Institutional custody of crypto assets in Hong Kong
On 27 May 2026 Standard Chartered began institutional custody of crypto assets in Hong Kong, the first by a globally systemically important bank there, with SOLOWIN Holdings as its first client. The release names no asset; ETH rests on the bank's plan, published in November 2025, to offer custody of bitcoin and ETH in Hong Kong. This is custody of ETH itself, not tokenization.
