Spot ETH trading for retail clients

BW-Bank, the retail and savings bank brand of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) in Stuttgart, has offered its customers crypto trading through Bitpanda since September 2026, announced by Bitpanda on 9 September 2026. Customers with a BW-Bank securities account open Bitpanda from the bank's BW Nextbroker service and can trade ten coins, ETH among them, from 1 euro and up to 50,000 euros a trade. BW-Bank's own page says that Bitpanda GmbH, not the bank, is the customer's contracting party for all crypto business and holds the coins, so BW-Bank provides the access and Bitpanda the service. LBBW first announced the Bitpanda partnership on 15 April 2024, for custody of bitcoin, Ethereum and other assets for its corporate clients with a pilot planned for the second half of 2024, but its 2024 annual report speaks only of building that offer and no source shows it live with a client. This is trading of ETH itself, not tokenization. Also: Bitpanda, release of 9 September 2026.
