ETH custody and deliverable spot trading for institutional clients

Standard Chartered launched digital asset custody for bitcoin and ETH in the UAE on 10 September 2024, licensed by the Dubai Financial Services Authority in the DIFC, with Brevan Howard Digital as its first client. Its UK branch began deliverable spot trading of bitcoin and ETH for institutional clients on 15 July 2025, through the bank's existing electronic trading channels, with trades settling to the client's chosen custodian, the bank's own included. Its spot trading in the UAE, from 3 September 2026, is its own row. This is custody and trading of ETH itself, not tokenization.
