Stablecoin stability assessments published onchain
Since 14 October 2025 S&P Global Ratings has published its Stablecoin Stability Assessments onchain through Chainlink's DataLink service, starting on Base, an Ethereum layer 2. Each assessment scores a stablecoin's ability to hold its value from 1 (very strong) to 5 (weak), and ten stablecoins were covered at launch, including USDT and USDC. The assessments are not credit ratings, and the deployment publishes data rather than issuing an asset.
