Staking of ETH held in its spot ETH ETFs
Purpose Investments has staked ETH in its exchange-traded funds since June 2024, when Ether Capital became the Purpose Ether Staking Corp. ETF and planned to stake up to half its ETH. Purpose Ether ETF (TSX: ETHH) began staking on or about 30 January 2026 and absorbed the staking fund on 13 February 2026. The staking runs on Purpose's own in-house infrastructure.
