Digital asset custody of ETH (Fidelity Digital Assets)
Fidelity Digital Assets, the subsidiary Fidelity Investments announced in 2018 to offer bitcoin custody and execution to institutions, added ETH custody and execution in 2022; a spokesperson told The Block that institutional clients could buy, sell and transfer ETH from 28 October 2022. It has kept the ETH of the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) since the fund launched on 23 July 2024, and the fund's prospectus of 21 August 2026 names it as one of three ETH custodians, beside Anchorage Digital Bank and BitGo Bank and Trust. It now operates as Fidelity Digital Assets, National Association, a national trust bank. This is custody of ETH itself, not tokenization.
