Tokenized structured notes

BOCI, the investment banking arm of Bank of China, issued CNH 200 million of fully digital structured notes on 12 June 2023, originated by UBS and placed with UBS clients in Asia Pacific. Constituted under Hong Kong and Swiss law and tokenized on public Ethereum through UBS Tokenize, it was the first tokenized security issued by a Chinese financial institution in Hong Kong. UBS says BOCI has continued to issue regularly through UBS Tokenize, though the later issues are not listed publicly.
