Digital asset custody of ETH

BNY Mellon's Digital Asset Custody platform went live in the United States on 11 October 2022, letting selected clients hold and transfer bitcoin and ETH, with technology from Fireblocks and Chainalysis. BNY is one of the two ETH custodians, with Coinbase Custody, of the Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE), which began trading on NYSE Arca on 28 July 2026 and stakes part of its ETH. This is custody of ETH itself, not tokenization.
